The verification reasons provide additional insight into why a verification was either, pending, failed or approved. You can see a list of reasons below.
The end user never completed the verification process within the 72 hour window and so the verification failed.

Returned when a verification was failed because the ID document used by the end user matched a flagged id document in our system.
Returned when a verification is set to pending because the ID photo submitted by the user was unusable. Only returned when the automated ID detection is active.
Returned when a verification is set to pending because both the ID photo and selfie photo submitted by the user were unusable. Only returned when the automated ID detection is active.
Returned when a verification is successfully completed manually.
